February/March Updates

At the end of February Wyatt and I went to California to visit and for me to get my wisdom teeth out. We had so much fun seeing everyone, and Farrell (Kev's mom) happened to be in town too so that worked out great. We were also able to attend Bob's 50th surprise bday party which was a lot of fun. Some of our activities included the Wild Animal Park and the beach. Wyatt LOVED the beach! He just wanted to stare at the water. It was so cute. Wyatt is getting huge!! I feel like he has grown 2 inches in 2 weeks. We got him a jumper a few weeks ago and his feet didn't really hit the floor or just barely did and now he is easily touching the floor. We think he weighs about 19lbs and he is five months old; the 6month clothes are starting to get too small, he was to wear the 6-9 or 9month. He is getting too big to carry in his infant car seat, we are going to have to move up to a big carseat. So crazy! He has been drooling and chewing everything like crazy so we should be seeing a tooth here in the next month or so. He can easily grab his feet now. He likes to talk to the dogs and giggles when Jordan licks him. He LOVES his daddy and just grins from ear to ear when he comes home. He also really likes to be outside. We have been able to put him down around 8:30 9 pm lately and he will sleep untill 7 so that is nice (but he sleeps a little less during the day). Wyatt's favorite toys are anything with lights and music, especially his baby laptop(picture below)- he just sits and hits the keys and loves it! It's nice because he can do it himself. Kevin had his Spring Break last week and we literally did almost nothing, but it was good for Kevin to just rest and recharge. We took Wyatt to the YMCA pool and at first he didn't really like it because he was cold, but then we started moving him around and he loved it and liked to watch his hand move through the water. It was lots of fun. We also started feeding him a little bit of rice cereal; he really liked it and of course got it everywhere. We will start veggies soon. Over spring break we did go on a little hike with the baby and the dogs down by the york river. We have a cool backpack carrier and Wyatt looked so cute in it. Everyone had fun. The pictures are on my phone so I will have to figure that out. Kevin and I have been working a little bit on food storage; the Japan crisis freaked us out a little bit. I am going to the cannery tomorrow and it will be good to get our food storage stocked up a little bit better- we really haven't had much in the past. Kevin is fixing the floor of the boat so we can go out in a few weeks and he is busy helping sell much for the boy scout fundraiser.
