Our new hobby these past couple of weeks has been..... canning! LOL, Exciting huh. I was very reluctant to learn and try canning, but Kevin really wanted to so we got some supplies cheap off of craigslist and then we tried our hand at it. It is much easier than I thought and it can be fun too. We have made Salsa, Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Freezer Jam, Pickled Watermelon Rind (Kevin's idea), and our Favorite was Strawberry Syrup (for waffles). The strawberry syrup was amazing and we used freshly picked strawberries from a local garden not far from our house. We need a better salsa recipe because that was just ok. We haven't opened the regular jam yet but the freezer jam is addicting. Anyways, if anyone wants to come over and do some canning ever just let me know.
Yesterday, May 20th was our 3rd anniversary. Our tradition is to go out to dinner at PF Changs so we did that and got tons and tons of food! It was really good food and fun to go out. It's so crazy, three years seems too long and too short all at the same time. It is crazy how much has changed in our lives and how our love has grown. We are still having a great time like we always do and we expect to contiue that habit for a very long time. Here is a picture of our wedding day. Wow three years!
