Final Fall Update

Let's See...
Fall ended with one more football game. We made it to most of the home games and it was a great time. The last game was really cold, but we always try to stay past halftime because Wyatt loves the band so we stuck it out until then. We liked having a family night out every couple of weeks at the game!

Lowe's had their real Christmas trees out early so we got ours the weekend before Thanksgiving. We planned on decorating it early since we would be gone over Thanksgiving, but didn't have time until after Thanksgiving. It was a little bit tough decorating with a curious baby and silly 2 year old, but we had fun listening to Christmas music and getting a few things on the tree. Mom finished up the rest.


Thanksgiving was a blast. We were supposed to go to DC to see Kevin's brother's family and then Richmond to see friends, but Kevin's brother's family was sick so we just went straight to Richmond. We were super sad that we weren't able to see the family, but we will get out there another time. We got to Richmond and spend Thanksgiving with the Robinsons. It was a bit of a tiring day since we drove all seven hours that day and got up at 2am, but it was a fun Thanksgiving. We rounded out the night by watching the original Red Dawn movie. We went shooting with the Robinson's the next day and then headed over to hang out with the Hardimans. Kevin went hunting with Wayne and Kim and I hung out. Deborah and baby Madison came over that night and it was so good to see them. Jack and Madison were crawling around and then Madison started sucking on Jack's toe, sooo funny!! The next day we met up with some friends and their kids at the park. Wyatt had a blast! He kept climbing up this rock wall and going down a big slide. At one point he hit something and started crying, but we weren't sure what, but later he had a bit of a black eye, Ouch! I loved seeing some of our old friends and their kids. They are all so sweet and it was good to catch up! We had lunch with the Chacons and Hardimans. Emma and Wyatt started playing (they are about a month apart in age) and it was so cute to watch. They each had a toy and would keep trading. We decided the kids needed to play more and the adults needed to talk more so we went back to the Hardimans to play. That night we went to Bass Pro Shop and ate at the yummy fish restaurant and Kevin got his alligator dish! Wyatt loved Bass Pro because of all the fish. We weren't able to see Santa that night because it was so crowded, but we already had seen him on Thanksgiving before we went to the Robinsons. Kevin and Wayne didn't get any deer so that was a bit of a bummer, but Kev still had fun. The next morning we had breakfast with the Dunhams and Robinsons then went to church. Wyatt was in heaven with all the attention. He got to go with Donna and Bobby to feed the horses and collect the chicken eggs. He is still talking about that. They also have lots of sweet dogs. Rese was especially sweet (huge german shepherd) and Wyatt kept getting kisses from her and still talks about her. He also kept wanting to follow around and play with Kim because she is so fun. He didn't like it when she left the room and she showed him lots of fun things. We are so lucky to have such great friends. What a wonderful weekend we had!!

The week we got back was the Big Stone Gap Christmas Parade. It was such a great parade and was so fun to take the boys to it. We bundled up and Wyatt was excited to wear his hat and gloves. He liked seeing Mikey Mouse and Santa and lots of trucks!!

I might have already posted about this, but a while back we were working really hard with Wyatt to teach him his colors and now he solidly knows them all. He can sort of count to 10, but we are still working on that, but he gets the concept and can get some of the numbers. We also have been reading this ABC book almost every day and he knows a lot of his letters and can identify them if I ask him to find some. We have a smart boy on our hands! Wyatt also started saying prayers about 2 weeks ago. It was sooo sweet the first time. We sort of helped him, but then he wanted to do it all on his own. He usually says something like...Heavenly Father...thank you....mama, dada, Jack, charlie, Jordan (sometimes some other things like blankie etc)...Jesus Christ...Amen. It is so cute!! He also has been really enjoying nursery lately (which is a change), but still freaks out if I'm not there with him. One of his new words is "Delicious", it is so funny to hear him say it. Last night we had rotisserie chicken and cheese for dinner and he out of the blue said, "dad, mom this is delicious." It totally cracked us up. He loves to jump and play and run. We play football and baseball A LOT at home. He also is really liking to color. He still likes to play and be silly with Jack, but is getting really bad with not wanting to share etc

Oh and the big change for Wyatt has been HE CAN ACTUALLY EAT!! What a huge change we have had! He has had a throwing up problem for almost a year. He got on acid reflux medicine which kind of worked, but then stopped working. He had an endoscopy which found he had eosentophillic esophogitis. He had inflammation and spots on his throat (and biopsy showed he had an increased level in a certain white blood cell eosentiphils) which usually indicates an allergy. He had an allergy test which was frustrating and inconclusive. But he is on a steroid spray for his throat which has helped tremendously!! We are now trying to move to a more natural and organic died with less meat and no milk and little dairy. I have done lots of research and most likely his allergy is due to milk, but can be related to lots of other crazy things they put in our food. Luckily he can now eat and it is so good to see! Yesterday he ate a whole package of blueberries (one of his favorite foods) which we could barely eat one before.

Jack is growing like a weed. He is still so busy and always moving!! He is pulling up on everything and standing etc. He says mama and dada and has the sweetest little smile! He can get fussy and is liking lots of attention lately. He still loves his brother and is always trying to crawl on/next to him and get his toys etc. The kid loves to eat and eats pretty much anything. He loved to mess with all our cords and turns off our computer all the time, lol. He has been dancing lately which is funny to watch. He has 4 teeth, two on top front and two on bottom front. He crawls around blowing bubbles and making silly noises. If we leave him in the living room he crawls around the house trying to find us. Jack got his first haircut because it was just too long and people started thinking he was a girl, lol. He did so great and just sat there. Then I was supposed to get mine cut and he was soo soo tired and just fell asleep on my chest while I was getting my hair cut. He still has his blue eyes. Can't believe he is already 10 months, and will soon be one year old!!
