Sam and Kev: Graduation

I am trying to play catch up here. Graduation time was such a whirlwind with packing and moving and family visitors, but it was a lot of fun. We are so proud of Kevin for all of his hard work. We know he is going to be the best dentist that his patients will love. The week of graduation was NUTS, we had something every day for the entire week. Monday started off with an appreciation dinner for the students who are donating money back to the school to help future students and patients. We thought this was important so we decided to donate. The dinner was a lot of fun (playing with noise makers) and I got to meet some of Kevin's teachers and classmates. Kevin decided he wanted to be right on time/early to the dinner and I said I don't know, we don't want to be the first ones, then we have to stand there aqwardly. Well we were already there and decided we would look more dumb just sitting in our car so we just went in. Lesson learned...I was right, we should have been a few minutes fashionably late, we felt awkward being the first ones and standing there for a while talking to people we didn't know.

Tuesday was the Gala. It's a big dance/dinner party for all the students and their date. We dressed up in a black suit and a black dress. I decided to accent my dress with bright blue shoes and blue accessories so we also got Kevin a bright blue tie. Everyone thought that was the coolest thing that "we matched". I thought it was funny that everyone made such a big deal of it, don't you usually try to match your date? LOL. Anyways, it was a fun night chatting with friends and hanging out.

Wednesday night we picked up Farrell from the airport and went to Outback for dinner. For some reason we always go there when she is in town. It was so fun to see her and it was her first time meeting baby Jack. Wyatt loved spending some time alone with Mema and playing ball with her at the house.

Thursday night we went to the Richmond Flying Squirrells baseball game. They are cheap and fun and Wyatt really likes them. He kept saying "huh" like he always does and some people in front of us were cracking up. We also got to help set a world record for the most simultaneous high fives, lol. Also, some guy not too far from us got smacked right in the nose with a foul ball, ouch! (glad it wasn't us). It was Jack's first time to the game and he did pretty well once we got him wrapped up and snuggly. Jeff also arrived in town that night.

Friday was graduation day! We dropped Kevin off early and then Jeff, Farrell, me and the boys went to JoJo's pizza in Richmond. Kevin and I have tried going there before but they close at like 6pm. It was pretty good thin crust pizza. We finally got over to graduation and it was in a really nice building where they have broadway plays (richmond center stage). We had to sit up high because we were late, but it was fine. Our friend the Dunhams and Hardimans came which was nice to have their support. Again the boys did pretty good except that Wyatt kept wanting to sit on Jeff's lap, which was fine until his diaper leaked all over Jeff's suit pants. Ooops! I felt so bad and then Wyatt was all wet too. We got cleaned up as good as we could and still had to wait for graduation to end. It was a really nice ceremony, but it was a little bit long. It was cool when all the new Doctors were doing their dental pledge. So exciting that they will all be going out into the work force. Kevin was like the third person they announced so I went down to take pictures. It was really neat when they announed "Dr. Kevin Allred". It sounded so official now, he is a doctor. We took pictures afterwards and went out to dinner with family and friends to the Bass Pro Shop fish house. Everyone was complaining because they were out of alligator and the poor waitress was so annoyed because everyone kept asking her why etc etc. We had such a great night with our family and friends and we are so lucky to have all of them in our lives. The next day (Sat) Kevin had to go to the school commencement (lame) and Farrell and me and the boys flew to Utah a day ahead of Kevin and Jeff. To be continued...

The boys had on onesie's that said "My dad is the best!"

Before graduation Wyatt had his first fishing trip with Kevin and our friend Doug. He was such a big boy (after throwing his snack cup in the ocean) and had a fun time.

St. Patrick's Day- we went to the temple and Kevin got to see our friends the Brown's get sealed while I was with the boys outside and it was great seeing them so happy afterwards.
