Old and New Pics- Summer 2010

Our awesome trip to Smith Mountain Lake with the Dunhams. We had such a blast just doing nothing... taking rides on the boat, swimming, rigging up a trot line (very southern), cooking, eating, mini golfing, meeting some hillbillies. We had great weather; it was warm enough be out and in the water, but cool enough so we weren't roasting, like we have been in Richmond. We had our own little cabin up in the trees with our own dock for the boat. Kevin made a hillbilly friend who wanted to hang out, and he told us about a place where there are eating places and bars and miniature golfing on top of the water. But this friend kind of backed off on wanting to hang out when he heard we didn't drink...lol! On our way home we drove to Natural Bridge and saw the bridge of rocks (kind of like rainbow bridge at lake powell) and deborah and I went into a freaky wax museum (i got a picture with Obama- post later, i know you'll be waiting in suspense). We hicked to a little waterfall also and there was a creek down away from the path and there were some goats. As soon as Jordan saw the goats she was whining and kept looking for them. It was so funny since she is our mellow dog. We had a great weekend and Smith Mountain Lake is definitely one of our favorite places out here (we'll be taking my parents in Sept.)

I already posted some pictures of my trip to Cali in May, but I almost forgot Josh's graduation from Escondido High. Congrats Josh and we wish you luck in college! It was fun to go and see how much the H.S. has changed in 6 years.

These pictures are from our camping/boating trip to Virginia Beach in May. Kevin was growing an awful (he will say it was awesome) mustache at the time. There were some amazing houses on the water!
